Reflections on Teaching

This is my blog to reflect on my teaching practices, and implementation of Web 2.0 in my classroom.

First, my class Website: http://nicholasfifth.edublogs.org, which I have recently moved from geocities, to edublogs.  This is being hosted on a blog service, but it’s not where I’m anticipating most of the interaction will take place. Students will have a question to answer each week, and there is a page for Questions and Concepts, where students can discuss our Open Court unit theme. For this reason, I’m calling it a class Website, NOT a class blog.

I will be trying to host a homework club using Vyew’s online conferencing site. I’m hoping to also use Skype for phone conferencing.

Request to the ether: I’m looking for adults to practice doing a Skype conference with. Send a comment if you are interested.

My next plan is to have them do a research project on culture/heritage on a wiki.
