Lots of talk about Kathy Sierra and poor nettiquette that has degenerated to possible criminal threats.  Tom Turner posts about it here.

I’m trying to crank down the snark factor in some of my posts since this happened. I think my snarkiness has been creeping up lately (example)

In addition to this, I was disturbed while watching this Bloggingheads.tv diavlog to see a really nasty outburst by one of their regular commentators based on a conflict that originated in the blogosphere. Grownups behaving badly!

From Eduwonk (who I don’t always like, but certainly gets around) this article on a truly heartbreaking story about a student shot down before his time. SIGH! But apparently his social studies teacher is a man with a mission with a petition about guns (he was killed with a TEC-9 which is no longer illegal in Florida), and about meeting the basic welfare needs of the state’s children. AMEN brother!
