I am trying to learn the technical end of Webcasting through the friendly folks at Ed Tech Talk. This is well,

complicated. At this point, seeing or hearing the word virtual audio cables is now enough to make me shudder in fear and revulsion.

Sigh, I’d love to, but to run a show on Ed Tech Talk, this is what I have to do. That link you sent me to won’t let me live stream, and record with participants are on Skype. If it was just a podcast, I could handle that with Audacity. Instead I need Skype, Audacity, and software to live stream to the internet.
It’s the joy of open source and “free”. There are a number of ways to configure things, so more opportunities to have it break. I’m sure using something like WebEx or Breeze is more straight-forward, but more expensive. OTOH, local technology support project uses Breeze, and we had a training canceled due to technical problems. Sometimes convenience can’t be bought.

Oi, that sounds complicated. Let me know what solution you come up with.
