I’m so sorry. I hope they figure out what happened. More so, I hope the community finds a way to heal and rebuild.

My prayers are with you and the children and families of your community. This event is so tragic, sad and frustrating! I hope that they find the person or people who did this to your playground.

I’m very sorry to hear this. How horrible.

Last summer some teenagers lit up a canopy in our school courtyard. The canopy and all the picnic benches were destroyed. The part that hurt the most was that one of the boys had gone to our school. I always want the kids to feel like the school is their own property so why would someone do that to their property? That’s how I felt reading this story. I am sorry for your neighborhood and I hope you all rally again. Those children need a sense of ownership.

Well, I did something nice tonight at son’s school helping put together stuff for a fitness fair with a lot of the folks who worked on the rebuild, and we didn’t talk about the fire, but it was nice just having a community project.
Thanks for all your well-wishes!
