Okay, in a bid to finally use “numbers” in my “annual report“, I’ve done this for my birthday:

Nice Mental Health Update, Alice. A few of us WERE starting to worry … just kidding.

A complete diversion: When I was a kid, I used to visit my grandmother who lived in Riverdale part of the Bronx in New York, and there was a little girl in the same apartment complex who I used to play with now and then. My grandmother would say, ‘She was in the shampoo commercial.’ I had no idea what she was talking about until I saw the commercial one day and there was my New York friend.

    Her name was Brooke Shields.

    (No, we’re not friends anymore)

    :)

    Kia Ora Alice.

An interesting way to put your introduction into one box without too much of a squeeze. Well, today is the first day of the rest of your life. You are re-born!

Enjoy your new freedom, your new life and breathe deeply. What you breathe is recycled air. Draw on its heritage. Use it wisely. Remember that the greatest women and men that ever lived have breathed the same molecules as you do. Think of what they did with that resource. The potential is there for you to do even more.

Shelly kindly noted that I had a spelling error in one of the slides. So I’m temporarily pulling it until I can fix it (which since it’s on another computer–whose power cord I left at work–it may be bit). Thank you Shelly!

I’m having some severe version-ing problems in general. I had a program for our EL Redesignation ceremony go out with the wrong bio for a kid in it (the other lady working on it mis-labeled a Saechou as Saechao). I then fixed it, and when I went to print over, it was still wrong. It must be gremlins. For this slideshow, dh (my best editor) caught that earlier, and I fixed it, so I don’t know what the heck happened either? The word art, etc. came out funny so I had wanted to redo it. Now’s my excuse. Back in a few.

Damn, I missed your birthday. Hope it was a good one. You are one year younger than me (almost to the day) so my numbers are similar. Love that smog-filled air.
